THE LEGEND OF THE EVIL SPOON...

The EVIL SPOON was born in Budapest in the year 1256 in a log  cabin it  built itself.  It

had the power to destroy all that was evil by absorbing the evil and and eliminating it via

spoon digestion. It fought in the Crusades in the hands of Sir Vladispat the Crusty against

the infidels before being possessed by the son of Saladin himself after Vladisplat left it in a

portable chamber pot.  The son of Saladin unleashed the EVIL SPOON's powers against

the infidel Crusaders, before misplacing it in a box of grain that was sent to the front. The

Spoon would eventually change hands many times,  fighting against new "infidels," until it

was quite unclear who was an infidel and who was not. Thomas Bunkerbum the Trite. Ali

Prussersmight the Crabby. Flunkensbean the Mute. Argenstyle the Flippantly Light. Puttersquat the Corpulant. And even Jim the

Bland wielded the mighty weapon. Finally, it rested in the hands of Sir Hockin the Red, the great Cornish neo-knight of the 16th

century. Many a Quixotesque adventure was had; and many an infidel, bandit,

and mule were slain. Rocks that move were stilled. Grass that grew was cut.

Sir Hockin's great deeds are recorded in the annuls of history, and he eventually

passed on to the other world. By 1590, the EVIL SPOON was lost, not to be

found for many centuries...

In 1991, a young girl was shopping at a flea market in Manistee, Michigan when she discovered a plain, metal spoon with a  wooden

handle. She bought it for her older brother for Christmas. The EVIL SPOON was reborn!
